Memories for Kids is looking for Memory Coordinator that will coordinating all aspects of the memory experience for the families that we serve.
Memories for Kids is looking for a compassionate, organized, and self-motivated Memory Coordinator to help create meaningful memory experiences for children who have a parent with Stage IV cancer.
This flexible, part-time role (about 10 hours/week) includes coordinating memory experiences, working directly with families and medical teams, and helping bring moments of joy and connection to life. Some evenings and weekends required.

Job Description
Executive Director
The Memory Coordinator is responsible coordinating all aspects of the memory experience. This part-time hourly position will have a variable schedule based on the needs of the organization with an average of 10 hours per week. Flexible availability is critical, to include evenings and weekends as needed, in order to meet the needs of memory recipients. The position offices out of their home and must have a secure Wi-Fi connection.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and execute all facets of the family memory creation process and other family programs. This will include in-person visits with families.
- Serve as the main contact for memory families and anyone assigned to assist in the memory creation process. Provide training as appropriate.
- Assist families with the memory application process.
- Coordinate the family application process with oncologists, nurses, social workers and other referring entities.
- Hold and manage the organization’s cell phone, checking messages daily and responding accordingly.
- Advise Executive Director of challenging situations that arise with memory creation or execution.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records and complete accounting of memory expenses.
- Assist with the development of best practices and procedures for the memory processes.
- Work within the assigned budget and any restrictions or limitations required by the Board of Directors.
- Recommend new and innovative ways to improve our memory programs for families.
- Assist with presentations to hospitals, physicians, nurses, social workers, staff and other referring entities.
- Coordinate family speakers at events.
- Communicate monthly with doctor’s offices and share pictures of their patient’s memory.
- Attend and represent Memories for Kids at conferences.
- Work collaboratively with staff, Board members and volunteers to fulfill the mission of Memories for Kids.
- Attend all staff meetings.

Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work enthusiastically and compassionately with a diverse group of families, medical staff and third-party vendors and volunteers under, at times, emotional conditions.
- Must be comfortable setting and maintaining boundaries in stressful or emotional situations.
- Proven ability to set and meet regular deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and successfully manage one’s workload.
- Self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented.
- Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality when managing information.
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
