Cathy is an amazing person, wife, mother, friend, teacher, volunteer and many other things. She died far too early. She is the inspiration for Lisa Gravelle founding Memories for Kids. Cathy will be forever missed and loved by me and many others. RIP Cathy.
Elyse passed on 10-20-25 and wished for memorials to be made to Memories For Kids.
This donation is in memory of Elyse DeTurk, a sister of a good friend of mine. Elyse fought a courageous battle against cancer. Elyse is survived by her husband and two young sons. Memories for Kids was a cause close to her heart.
Kala was a dear friend, and although she lost her battle with cancer in 2019, her memory is fierce. I didn’t know her for long, and it was only during her cancer journey, but that time is still full of special memories. Today, every time I see her boy Kaden running around or her daughter, Taylor, cheering at the football game, I think of how proud she would be of both of them.
In Memory of our niece Elyse Deturk who was a courageous young lady. Fighting till the end for herself and her family. She was the true meaning of a Warrior. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and especially by her family.
Elyse is the daughter-in-law of Ted Deturk, an employee of Rebuilding Together Platte Valley East.
